This net concentrated on wilderness communications including satellite internet connections and satellite phones. We also discussed off road type of computers, their uses and some of the brands that are available. Frank, (unwiredadventures) is an expert in these type of communications and was our guest. For those who must have a connection to the outside world, outside ham radio, Frank discussed some very interesting alternatives. While a little pricey, if you must communicate, this is one of the very best ways to go.

We experienced technical difficulties in our attempt to hook up the Fam Comm repeater with Keller Peak via echolink. Fam Comms equipment overheated and we lost the link very early on. Unfortunately there was also some echolink interference which made the audio, even on Keller, rather difficult to hear. These problems probably prevented the information which Frank was discussing, difficult or impossible for all to appreciate. So as a result, we will be doing this net again in the near future. Thanks to Frank for your help and we will seek your help again soon.
